Snowflakes visited Gettysburg Saturday morning when the Star and Banner visited the Soldiers and Sailors of the Confederacy Memorial on West Confederate Avenue on Warfield Ridge, or Seminary Ridge. Dedicated in 1965, It is the first Gettysburg monument to be created by sculptor Donald Delue. The other Delue monuments are the Louisiana State Monument (1971), and the Mississippi State Monument (1973).
