Arlington National Cemetery, overlooking Washington, D.C., has many connections to Gettysburg and to the Gettysburg Campaign. There are many more connections than to only Robert E. In the right background is the monument to Brigadier General Robert Byington Mitchell, commanded the Cavalry Corps of the Army of the Cumberland during the Chickamauga Campaign. The large monument in the left background at the top of the hill is to George Crook, who is known for his exploits during the Indian Wars.
